![]() ![]() I soap bubbled them before and after they were rebuilt, by Legends, and the right shock is leaking at the shock body in the same spot as before it was sent back to Legends. Legends emailed my mechanic stating my shocks were rebuilt and pressure tested to 150 P.S.I. I sent them back to Legends and they rebuilt them. I had the rear air ride system installed over last winter. I would like the front Axeos to be a little softer. ![]() I agree with boggart that I can feel bumps in the front that I can not feel in the back. Now they are reset to zero turns and that is certainly better that stock but not what I would consider a plush ride. Originally the front AXEOS were set to 1 turn and that was too stiff. I'm 63 years old and not concerned about high speed cornering on a 880 pound dresser but more concerned about comfort. I also have the AXEO in the front of my 2014 ultra but with the Legends air ride system on the rear. I too would love to hear feedback from people that have them. ![]() I'm contemplating putting a set in at some point as I think they have a really good solution for the front end and would have more of the overall feel that I'd like. Yes, their package is "simple", it is the dampener tubes (designed differently than stock, more holes, and bigger), as well as stiffer springs than stock. I spoke with Pro-Action in SD and really like their setup. It just doesn't feel matchy-matchy with the rear. It's easy enough to try different preload settings once you've done it once, I've tried multiple settings and ended up on 1-1. It rides pretty nice, not what I would consider "harsh", but just not as smooth as the Ohlins on the rear. If you don't want harsh, set at the lower setting for your weight, and maybe even the next step down. 2) They've also changed how much preload to add, install doc on the website is the most up to date. The final amount is I believe 11.6oz, and made a tremendous improvement in the ride, much better than less oil. What I learned about the AXEO is that 1) they've changed the amount of oil used 3 times. It seems like in that instance I feel the front jump over them, and don't feel the back go over them at all. Don't get me wrong, it rides good in the front, and it performs fantastically thru the curves, but I wish it was a little more compliant when hitting the raised seams on roads. The front is far more firm than the back. I have the AXEO in the front of my 14' ultra and Ohlins HD-044 on the back. ![]()
